Okay Turkey!

You would too, if you knew the drama!

 Within the Aya Sofia

 Breakfast Istanbul roof-top terrace style

It was one of the most stunning bazaars I have ever seen, despite the razzle dazzle!

Bargained for the dress, crouched under the desk and CHANGED!

Heading down the lanes towards Eminonu

Why? There's where you get some of the best fish burgers!

 Making friends around Sultanahmet

 At Troy

And it was a rat ass kicking hot day at Troy...

 Gallipoli

A stunt that would get me into trouble with my mum!

Doing my "Lifestyle of the rich and famous" 15-second shot

Outside of Ayvalik, where the motorbike stopped and the sea began

 Juice-up!

The most charming hostel we stayed in during our times in Turkey

This little rascal was our favourite in Kas

Goreme at sunset

Did we say it's also the land of beautiful horses?

Despite waking up at some ungodly hour and
having a hot air balloon sticking out behind my head, it was one of the rides of our lifetime!

Forest hikes through old cave churches and fields of gold

On my way to my OJ salvation

Inside a forgotten, abandoned church (apparently of the St John cult)

 Fairy phallic symbols

Ihlara Valley's 14km hike - we were already lost on the first round!

Dispersing dandelion

Befriending a lone anak keldai... so cute!

 Blending in with the locals

This was the last 2km where we tried to get out of the maze with
my left foot twisted / swollen like a bloated moon on the 15th!

Got out! And an old lady living amongst a village of ten invited us to have tea

Spot the difference

Glam!

Invited in to help out in the winter food preparation at Hattusa

They were gangsters, gabbing away and causing a mayhem

Inci my Turkish feline friend at Safronbolu

 Pre-U2 360 playout - count down!

 Looking good, feeling good!

 Bono, doing his gig

The Edge, doing what he does best and boy, does he still have the edge!

No matter what they said, it was one unforgettable concert

And after the nearly solid midnight encore...

... fresh as daisies, here we are post-concert

I hate this part - waiting for the ride home - some hooligans threw a rock at our bus
and it was like some yob attack

Sweets making it sweeter than ever! I love you long time!

Anywhere you go in Turkey, everyone wants to talk to you
- so easy to make friends

 A church, a mosque, now a museum

At Mardin, we got coaxed by a small local lad to do the touristy pose

Bleating with the goats down in the rocky hills - they were HUGE!

Hot town but Mardin was the one authentic Arabic village in this country

Sunset in Kurdistan's Hakkari

A random invitation for tea extended to dinner and dress up - Kurdish wedding theme

What the heck - we DID just spend our third anniversary after all :D

 Miss Kurdistan Airline poster

This house was held by a clan of females

Makan time

Last stop - Van - on our way to Iran
